Description
This item is part of a collection of posters that testify to feminist social and political activism in Israel. The posters were collected by volunteers at the Isha L’Isha (Woman to Woman) feminist archive, the largest feminist archive in Israel. It was created out of a desire to organize in one place materials collected by women who participated in demonstrations, events, marches, and protests, who wrote letters, drafted position papers and petitions, and wrote studies. By collecting, organizing, and cataloging these materials, led by Hana Safran, these activists take ownership of writing their own history. Over time the archive has become a home for additional materials from other feminist organizations, discontinued organizations, and estates of women who passed away.
